THE PROGRAM

TGU’s Global Leadership Summit is an ‘academic incubator’, a cross-cultural platform for international students to enhance business concepts, to interact with American business professionals, to share ideas, and to learn about American culture.

The Global Leadership Summit is a short-term exchange program, held annually in July, and based at The College of William & Mary, located in Williamsburg, Virginia. Participants reside on campus, attend a series of theme based workshops, visit local businesses, and learn about America thru local field trips.

Academic Component

  • 10 Classes: 20 hours

Practical Component

  • Site visit US Fortune 500 Businesses (Richmond, Washington DC Areas)
  • Site visit Local Businesses (Newport News, Norfolk VA)
  • Mason School of Business Admissions/Tour Session
  • William & Mary Campus Tour

Cultural Immersion Component

  • Jamestown – America’s First Colony
  • Virginia Beach
  • Washington DC (White House, Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, Supreme Court, Museums)
  • Busch Gardens Theme Park

Cross-Cultural Component

  • Experience & interact with American professionals and Academics
  • Establish friendships with students from across the globe
  • Absorb multiple points of view and various perspectives

ELIGIBILITY
  • Minimum 18 Years of Age by July 1 of Program Year
  • Proficient English ability to interact in an English-speaking environment
  • Interested in learning about America & American Culture
  • Currently enrolled college/university student or minimum 3-year work experience in business
  • Passport valid for at least 6-months post program completion
